Brugdek Lange Wetering
ADS removed the entire 70-metre-long bridge deck of the Lange Wetering — without damaging the underlying precast beams, with 100% recycling of the process water.

Duration
Five weeks
Segment
Removing the wrong type of concrete without damaging the underlying beams
During the construction of the new bridge over the De Lange Wetering canal, the wrong type of concrete was used. As a result, it was necessary to remove the entire 70-metre-long bridge deck without damaging the underlying precast beams. The required process water had to be drawn from the canal and recycled — discharge into the surface water was not permitted.
Five weeks of structured work on a sensitive project
ADS carried out the work in phases in close coordination with contractor Platenkamp B.V. First, the concrete was sawn into sections and hoisted out. Then the Aqua Cutter provided the precise and damage-free finish. Thanks to the closed-loop water system, the project could be carried out in a fully environmentally friendly manner.
Aqua Cutter with special conversion structure and EcoClear®
On behalf of contractor Platenkamp B.V., ADS removed the concrete between the beams by sawing it into sections and hoisting it out. Then the Aqua Cutter, fitted with a special conversion structure, removed the concrete precisely and without damage. With a water treatment unit (EcoClear®), the contaminated process water was collected, cleaned and recycled in a closed-loop system. The process water came from the canal and was not allowed to return to the surface water.
